WhatsApp has come up with two new features for iOS users. According to WBI, they plan to offer reactions for WhatsApp stories and provide a shortcut for the text format.
Starting with the Status Response feature, app developers have released the beta version of this feature for a limited number of users with iOS devices. After a while, the feature became available in the stable version of the app, but again for a limited audience. As of yesterday, iOS 22.21.75 has been released globally on the Apple App Store.
Now iOS users will be able to react to anyone's story, just as they do on other Meta-owned platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Currently, there are eight emojis available for the user to select one at a time. To use it, all the user has to do is scroll up the story and choose from the available options.
Although the feature has been released globally for iOS users, it may take some time before everyone gets this update. So it is better to keep the app up to date. However, no news has been released for Android users yet.

Apple Makes Whatsapp Users Happy With Its New Feature
Although the formatting feature is supported by all three WhatsApp platforms, its shortcut is currently only available on iOS 16.
Users will be able to use formatting to convert regular fonts to italics, make a word or entire paragraph bold, strikethrough or replace text with monospace. An alternative way to do this is to tap the BIU menu instead of adding characters. But for iOS users, BIU is now replaced with Format.
The beta version has been released, but will only work on devices running iOS 16. No one below that will be able to see the Format option and will still be greeted with the BIU menu.
Once again, no news has been shared or published on whether these features will be made available to Android users. It is curious how long it will take for Android users to reach these new updates.
