As you might know, Activision and Sledgehammer Games took a firm approach when it comes to getting in the way of any kind of cheating in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
And it seems like DICE, the developer of Battlefield 2042, yet another highly anticipated first person shooter, is going to embrace a similar stand in this aspect.
Ahead of its open beta program, the company warned players saying it would do whatever it can to be able to prevent Battlefield 2042 turning into a toxic environment.
Warning to Players
In an entry shared on official
EA blog, the company said that a series of initiatives will be carried out to achive a fairer multiplayer game mode that everyone can enjoy without any problems.
It is also highlighted in the entry that the company will not tolerate any kind of cheating in its game, adding that it is going to use a system that is able to identify instantly the players who resort to this way.
This would mean at the same time that, because the upcoming
Battlefield title will offer a crossplay option, if someone is banned on one platform, that person will be banned on another platforms too, regardless of him being connected from another platform. What's more is that he/she will be banned from servers immediately, without having to find him/her playing in a match.

We should stress that these expulsions will be made through the
IP and
hardware of the user, so it won't be possible for the player to log in with another account and keep cheating.
These measure will be available for the open beta of the game that is starting next week. Regarding the future of this system, it is also highlighted that DICE will continue working on its cheat detecting tools.
On the other hand, players will have the choice to report behaviours of other players too, which would then be checked by the team to confirm the accuracy of the complaints. In this way it will be possible to report offensive words, sabotaging behaviour, offensive names or a general bad conduct.
