In a world where access to healthcare is disproportionately skewed by geography and income, Forta Health has raised significant funding to level the playing field. Forta Health raised $55 million in a Series A round led by Insight Partners from Exor Ventures, Alumni Ventures, 23&Me, Curative, Forward, Flexport, Warby Parker and Prelude Fertility. The company says it aims to democratise access to healthcare by using artificial intelligence tools, including big language models, to empower caregivers and improve clinical treatments. Its approach not only improves healthcare delivery. At the same time, it narrows the gap in accessibility to healthcare services in geographical areas where physician support is insufficient.

Forta Health's First Products Focus on Autism Treatment
It is to manage the growing number of diagnoses for conditions such as autism, Alzheimer's and chronic diseases, and the desperate shortage of professionals to help provide support. Forta Health's first products focus on autism treatment. The company is turning to applied behavioural analysis (ABA), which has received a lot of criticism in the autistic community.
The main concern is that ABA is often overly controlling and focuses on changing behaviour to conform to societal norms rather than understanding underlying needs or perspectives. The approach focuses primarily on changing observable behaviour. Critics argue that this approach can overlook the underlying cognitive and emotional processes of the individual. Forta defends his approach, saying that it differs in some important ways from ABA approaches of the bad old days.
