iOS 16, which has 110 modified or new features in total, contains many features that will be useful for you. Here are some lesser known iOS 16 features:
Public transport fares appear on Maps
The ability to plan multi-stop routes is the big addition to iOS 16 Maps. But it doesn't sleep in the app's transit improvements. If you add your transit card to the Wallet app, you can see your remaining balance. You can even top up this balance directly from the Maps app.

Fuel and Driving Apps with CarPlay
CarPlay has fuel and driving apps. CarPlay has your favorite apps that help you fill your tank, give you information about the road, show tolls, support your tow truck and much more.
Mark Incoming Messages as Unread
If you don't have time to reply, you can mark messages as unread so you don't forget to reply later.
Canceling Sending Emails in Mail
You probably know that you can unsend a text in iOS 16 messages. (After you send a text, you have a 2-minute window to delete that message.) Apple has added a similar feature to email sending, allowing you to cancel any email you may have been too quick to send.
New Apple Lock Screen Collections
You can choose between dynamic, classic and horizontal Lock Screen options specially prepared for iOS 16. Apple collections include Lock Screen options that celebrate special cultural moments like Pride and Unity.
Securing Photo Folders
There is another great photo management enhancement that comes with iOS 16 and includes a layer of security for several folders. Keeping private shots away from prying eyes, the Hidden Photos folder may now require you to use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock the folder. This unlock feature also comes in the Recently Deleted folder.
Quick Note is coming to iOS 16
Both macOS and iPadOS offer a Quick Note feature to quickly take notes as thoughts arise. Apple brings this feature to the iPhone with iOS 16. And while it's debatable how seamless the app is, it's still a nice way to gather your thoughts without having to launch the Notes app.
