Futura Gaïa aims for a more sustainable future by harnessing the power of indoor vertical farming. French startup Futura Gaïa has raised €11 million in its second round of financing. Existing and ongoing investors (UI Investissement, Sofilaro, Région Sud Investissement, Caap Création, Occipac, Elpis and Alain François Raymond) as well as new investors such as Banque des Territoires, Abeille Impact Investing France, Colam Impact, InvESS't PACA and several dozen private individuals through Sowefund.
Futura Gaïa was founded in 2019 and offers an alternative solution to open field and greenhouse farming by designing automated vertical farms based on the soil. The company brings its ready-to-use vertical farms to the market and contributes to an increase of €2.5 million in 2020. Its aim is to engage local actors to tackle challenges such as climate change & water scarcity and improve food sovereignty through local production.
