Just a year after raising $11.6 million, Kittl raised another $36 million in a Series B round led by IVP, with re-participation from some existing investors. It is working on a graphic design tool that you can use in your web browser without having to install an application. Nicolas Heymann, co-founder and CEO of Kittl, said the following when compared to Adobe applications. “If you think about exporting something from Illustrator, it's a complete headache.” Heymann also said that compared to Canva, Kittl “offers a broader feature set and gives you access to the actual graphic file.

Kittl wants to combine all these features in one tool. It lets you create logos, t-shirt designs, cards, social media posts, and more, using the built-in illustration library and a collection of copyright-free photos as a starting point. The company also has a wide range of design templates. Users are also contributing new templates to this collection.When you start from a template, you can change colors and adjust existing elements in the design. You can also add your own text and style it to suit your needs. And when you're done, you can export your design as an image or vector-based file. It has added AI-based features like AI background cleaner and creator, built-in AI image creator. The company relies on various AI models through its own in-house technology as well as Stability AI or OpenAI APIs.
