Messenger, Instagram and Facebook Account Settings Will Remain the Same Across Apps
The "Settings Menu" will be the place to adjust account settings for Messenger, Instagram and Facebook. In this way, users will have the opportunity to easily change the settings of other applications from one application. However, although the new center will be used when editing the advertising settings, it should be checked whether the Meta settings are the same in all applications.
If the account center is selected separately for each app, advertising preferences will not change in any app. When accounts with different settings are added to the center, there is an automatic match in account settings. In the new updates related to Messenger, Instagram and Facebook account settings, the "Ads Settings" control has also changed. "Ads Settings" has been completely renewed and gained a different dimension. Meta will also update data about the activities under the control of both partners and users, called "Activity information" received from advertising partners.
All the updates to the "Account Center" areas released in 2020 will take on a different dimension. So far, the Account Center has offered the ability for Facebook and Instagram to collaborate on login and payment method options. Meta specifically states that additional settings will be centralized in the future. However, the company has not provided information about additional settings at this time. The account center went live yesterday. The feature will be gradually rolled out to Meta users over the coming months. Therefore, it will be clearer then whether the feature is useful or not.
