Meta Developed Intelligent Translation System Supported by Artificial Intelligence

Meta has recently introduced artificial intelligence-powered technology that can instantly translate Hokkien into English. The technology developed by Meta, called an intelligent translation system, brings to mind the UNIVERSAL TRANSLATOR device from the Star Trek movie. It was announced that the project uses NLP (natural language processing) technique, as in other artificial intelligence-assisted translation applications. The NLP method, in which texts are trained with artificial intelligence, can be improved with additional sentences and words. This allows for a flawless and detailed translation.

Moreover, there are few skilled translators who speak Hokkien and very little recorded data translated into English, which increases the importance of Hokkien in artificial intelligence applications.
