Microsoft on Monday made Android 12L, designed for devices with larger screens, available for its Surface Duo smartphones. The upgrade gives the phones a new user interface and refreshed icons.
In a blog post, the company writes that the new user interface will be visible in the general settings of phones and in the Microsoft Launcher activity stream. Four new wallpapers have also been added, similar in appearance to Windows 11's desktop wallpapers. Surface Slim Pen 2, which works with Surface Duo 2 and Surface PCs, now allows users to open a shortcut menu for up to four apps. Which apps appear in this menu can be customized by the user.
