The Sony InZone M3 gaming monitor is now available for $520. Coming months after the $899 top-of-the-line M9, the monitor has a lower resolution but a better screen refresh rate.

InZone M3 Offers High Screen Refresh Rate
The new Sony InZone M3 debuts with a lower price and reduced features compared to the M9. The new monitor has a 27-inch screen like the M9. The device, which has a white-on-black design like the Playstation 5, appeals to gamers. While the IPS panel is 4K resolution in the M9 model, this ratio is reduced to 1080 pixels in the M3. The PS5 supports 1440 pixels as standard, but this monitor does not support it with its current specifications.
What the Sony InZone M3 lacks in resolution, it makes up for with a high screen refresh rate of 240Hz. The M3's display lacks full-array local dimming for HDR viewing and contrast. Instead, the M3 is edge-lit with a peak brightness of 400 nits. The gaming monitor supports HDR10 and HLG and is DisplayHDR 400 capable for PCs. The monitor has 99 percent sRGB quality. With Automatic HDR Tone Mapping, also available on some of Sony's Bravia TVs, the monitor recognizes your PS5 and changes settings to get you into the game faster. It can also automatically switch between game and movie modes. The gaming monitor also features InZone desktop utility software, which works with the joystick and allows quick control of settings.
At QHD pricing, the Sony InZone M3 has advantages over other monitors of a similar size. The gaming PC comes with a high screen refresh rate of 240Hz with automatic low latency mode and variable refresh rate for PS5 and Xbos Series X/S consoles. Multiple devices can be connected via DisplayPort, HDMI 2.1 or USB-C. There are two HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB-C slot, a USB-B slot, three USB-A ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The monitor also comes with a DisplayPort cable. The monitor has an automatic KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) switch. This allows you to control two computers with the same mouse and keyboard. A height-adjustable stand is included with the monitor, but VESA wall mount and wall arms are also supported if not used.
